A goal of the production team is to extend the reach of Toastmasters Bay to Bay so that it's visible in all portions of District 4, from San Francisco to Monterey. To that end, here is a list of Public Access Television centers, and what it takes to import the show to their programming lineup. We need sponsors to have this program run on the local Public Access station. If interested in seeing the show in your neck of the woods, contact Henry or Stan.
Midpeninsula Community Media Center
(Atherton, East Palo Alto, Menlo Park, Palo Alto, Stanford)
- Current Sponsor: Stan
- We produce the show there, so there is no "import" fee
- Stan is on staff at the Media Center; as producer of TBTB he gets complimentary use of the studio, otherwise it's a $30 studio use fee.
- MC encodes the master so it's on the MC channels within days of taping.
Peninsula Television Channel 26
(South SF through Redwood City)
- Current Sponsor: Stan
- Contact: Liz La Porte, Asst. Director
- $150/year import fee, waived for producers who are on staff of The Media Center (Stan)
- They require a DVD with Bars/Tone, Slate, Countdown. Stan adds in the slate in post production at The Media Center, and gets the DVD to PenTV about a week after taping
KMVT Channel 15
(Mountain View, Sunnyvale, Los Altos)
- Current Sponsor: None.
- Contact: Joshua
- Need to decide whether to foot the $150 import fee.
- $150/year import fee. No waivers available on this fee.
- Require a DVD with NO leader. They want to be able to hit "play" and have the program start right up. This requires a separate DVD format be created from PenTV
Access San Francisco
(City of SF)
- Current Sponsor: None
- Contact: Chris Ferejohn
- They require a sponsor, which means a resident in the service area would joint Access SF, go through orientation and possibly training.
- Unknown Import Fee Requirement
- Unknown media and format requirements
